Engine Technology
One of RedMax's key selling points is environmentally-friendly products. In 1998, RedMax introduced their Strato-Charged engine technology that resulted in a more efficient, quieter 2-stroke engine with lower emissions.
All RedMax tools use 2-stroke engines. Since 2-stroke engines have fewer moving parts, they are less likely to break than 4-stroke engines in similar equipment. They also require less maintenance. In addition, 2-stroke engines can be used at any angle without trouble, something that can't be said for all 4-stroke engines and which is important when using equipment such as hedge trimmers.
Reliability Guaranteed
RedMax also makes sure their focus on reducing environmental impact doesn't negatively affect equipment performance. The Strato-Charged engines are designed for reliability, performance and power as well as reduced emissions and fuel consumption. To guarante this, most RedMax products come standard with a two-year commercial warranty.
Homeowners can
extend this warranty by 1 year if they purchase any 6 bottles of RedMax brand 2-stroke oil, or by 2 years if they purchase 3 bottles of the 32oz RedMax brand pre-mix fuel. The oil or fuel purchases must be made at the same time as the new equipment and appear on the same receipt. You also have to
register your product online.
Solid-Steel Advantages
All trimmers, brushcutters and edgers from RedMax use a solid-steel drive shaft. The
Maxtreme multi-tool system also features solid-steel construction for its five different tool attachments. A solid drive shaft ensures more power from the engine is transferred to the cutting head, which makes your job easier and more efficient.

The RedMax
hedge trimmers are powerful pieces of equipment with caged-steel needle bearings for extra stability and case-hardened, high-carbon steel blades to reduce the need for sharpening. They offer two models of single-sided blade hedge trimmers for precision cutting, six double-sided blade models (two of these are extended reach), and one extended-reach trimmer with articulating blade. The
pole saw can also be converted into a long- or short-blade hedge trimmer.
