Richardson Saw & Lawnmower carries such a wide selection of quality lawnmower brands that it can be hard to know which one to choose. Each brand has unique qualities, and its own particular take on cutting decks, comfort systems, and other features. Getting to know the different options and features of each brand can help in narrowing down the selection. Exmark mowers, for example, are commercial quality lawnmowers designed for professional use. Here's a look at some of the features you'll get if you choose an Exmark mower. Exmark-commercial 21 Lawnmower Dallas

Cutting System

Exmark mowers feature deep cutting decks with patented baffles that control and accelerate air flow under the deck for more even cutting discharge. Cutting speed is carefully optimized to produce clean, uniform grass cutting for an attractive and healthy lawn. Depending on the mower series you choose, Exmark offers side or rear discharge cutting decks. They range in depth from 4 inches on the Series 1 and Series 2 decks, to 6 inches on the Series 5. The different deck series are used on different mowers. For example, the Series 2 cutting decks are used in the Pioneer E-Series and the Metro walk-behinds, and the Series 5 decks are used in the Lazer Z DS-Series. All the cutting decks use maintenance-free cast aluminum spindles that never need greased. The sealed ball bearings can withstand the effects of impact and moisture. Another low-maintenance feature on the Ultracut Series 4, 5, and 6 decks is the spherical bearings design on idler arm pivots, which require only annual greasing. Mowers that use these decks include the Vantage X-Series and the Lazer Z X-series.

Drive System

The hydro drive system is designed to use fewer parts than competing systems, which means there are fewer things to go wrong. It is durable and low-maintenance, and the unitized pump and wheel motor eliminates hoses and potential leak points. Exmark Premium Hydro Oil is recommended for use in these hydro drive systems. It has twice the shear stability of other oils. One of the operator comfort features available in Exmark mowers is the Enhanced Control System (ECS). The ECS system is now standard on most of the walk-behind mowers, including some Metro units, Viking, Turf Tracer S-Series, Turf Tracer X-Series and Vantage X-Series. It offers operators more comfortable handles with a short grip distance and easy-to-reach height. This also makes the handles safer, since your hands are less likely to bump into obstacles as you drive past.

RED

Exmark's Onboard Intelligence Platform, called RED, is designed to increase fuel efficiency, maximize productivity, and extend the life of the mower. RED makes it possible for key systems on your mower to communicate. It replaces a throttle lever with a three-position switch. The low switch position helps the mower adjust to wet conditions, and the max position is for mowing overgrown grass. Efficient position will be used most often, and it adjusts the mower to reduce overall wear, limit noise and emissions, and reduce fuel consumption while still operating at peak efficiency. Mowers with RED technology have a monitoring system that tracks temperature and oil levels, and alerts operators if something is wrong with the mower. If a problem is detected, RED switches the mower to “safe mode” so the mower can be moved without further damage before it can receive maintenance.
